Falls are a leading cause of injury, hospitalization, and loss of independence among older adults. Fortunately, many falls are preventable.
We evaluate balance, gait, vision, medications, blood pressure, muscle strength, footwear, and other factors that contribute to fall risk. Recommendations may include exercise programs, physical therapy, home safety modifications, medication adjustments, vitamin D supplementation, and assistive devices when appropriate.
Reducing fall risk helps preserve independence and improves confidence while allowing patients to remain active.
